    Rob:  The products I recommended are VERY fine grit (think buffing 
compound) and will require MANY applications and lots of elbow grease to 
effect any changes.  I once worked 45 minutes to get one small scratch out 
of a poly finish lid by hand, but it did work.  You're actually polishing 
out the imperfections and therefore it takes lots of work.
