Subject: [pianotech] Damper leak

Hi,
Yesterday I serviced a Gulbransen upright with leaky dampers.
Spotting plastic damper assemblies, my usual damper bending tools were something that might have caused the 40 plus plastic to break
so another method of getting the dampers to seat properly was used.
I actually tried two ways and quickly discarded my wire bending pliers
as a poor choice in favor of ????????????????

What would you have done?
