Anthony MAFCO is now GRK. There are several bolts inisde the mechanism that need to be tightened, (besides the leg bolts), that will make the bench more stable. However, if the play is in the main screw mechanism,?you will need to remove the end knobs, and tighten the big nuts on the outside of the bench. If that doesn't work, then the bench is beyond repair. Well, you can get a new mechanism, but the cost of the mechanism, and time to install it, will be more than a new one. One of my customers wants me to try and fix it but I can't find any info on this company.? Most likely out of biz.? ? If not any info about the company, maybe some advice or tricks that could help get rid of the wobble.? BTW, it's the raise/lower mechanism that has play in it; not just because of loose legs. ? Of course, this may be a good opportunity to sell them a quality Jansen bench. ? Thanks all, ?
