It is 1925 according to my brand new Pierce. I only need to solidify the whole lyre by adding some length to the braces (I think of inserting some rubber pads to take the slack when it is dry like now- I figure that in summer it is tight?) If you remove the pedal rods from the back of the pedals, you can then usually just remove the faceplate to pull the pedals. Remove the 6 screws in the brass (or chrome or nickel) faceplate from which the pedals emerge, and the assembly will slide right out to you. If you need to address the raviolis (pedal cushions) or the felts that line the box, you'll need to remove the 8 (?) screws from the bottom of the pedal box and it will come off. What vintage is this piano, Allan?? William R. Monroe How is the Steinway pedal assembly taken off? Thank you Allan Sutton No virus found in this incoming message.
