  Hello Mike,
I am interested in mortise inserts for sharps.
Will need to replace several on current project and was putting off the job wondering how to go about it. Front pins are .145

    List,
We have put together a sample kit of our buttons, mortise inserts and glue. (see pictures below) If interested send me an email with your address and we will get one out to you.
Our buttons and mortise inserts are CNC Machined with incredible accuracy and repeatability. They are available bushed or unbushed. These are not the "one size fits all buttons", and they are bushed by hand with hot hide glue.
The buttons come in three different sizes designed to fit the following pins:
    0.125, 0.129, 0.133
    0.137, 0.145, 0.152
    0.160

We also make custom buttons in which the mortises are at angles (used on a lot of domestic grands) and we make buttons for the 0.087 pin found on older domestic makes. See picture below.

The mortise inserts come in two different sizes designed to fit the following pins:
    0.125, 0.129
    0.145
View our website for a slideshow on mortise insert application.

The glues are our own plastic glue (for gluing acrylic, styrene and mineral plastic) which is similar to PVC-E but is more viscous, stronger and DRIES WHITE and our glue for new ivory and bone. Both glues can be used to glue down restoration ivory as long as the original protein glue is removed from the keytop and the keystick.

We also just made and delivered a set of RC&S soundboard cauls for a bellyman in New England and they could not believe we were able to give them the exact curvatures they wanted in all dimensions.

    Thanks, Mike
