It's not lying to you, John!! A zero reading in Calgary, in the middle of the winter, is not really unexpected. The outside air is controlling the moisture content, but the inside air is controlling the temperature. When the air is warmed for our comfort, the saturation point goes way up...but there's nowhere for more moisture to come from, so the ratio of actual moisture to moisture at saturation (RH) tends to zero. And moisture begins to be sucked from anywhere it can be...like pianos, and people... J
