There are some thorough reviews of the Blackberry Storm on line.
Here is the Engadget review: http://www.engadget.com/2008/11/19/blackberry-storm-review/

I have the Ipaq 210, and a Blackberry Curve. They just are different. I use the Blackberry for most day to day tasks, and often leave the iPaq in my tuning case. I think that the iPaqs might be the only straight PocketPC on the market now. The 110 and 210. They have the same processer. The 210 has more internal memory, and a higher grade VGA screen. This might be why some of the tuning software, like Verituner, doesn't work on it as well....it takes more of the system resources to run the display. I'm guessing. Tunelab runs fine. The nice thing about the display is that it is more visible from an angle. You don't have to be looking straight at it to see it clearly. The 210 has a great battery. Last week I did six tunings one day, and it still had half it's battery left. The Blackberry and iPaq both will charge off of the same USB car charger, so that it handy.

One thing about the new iPaq is that it can handle the high density memory cards. I have an 8gb hdsd card loaded with music for those days when I'm regulating an action and can listen. Earlier iPaqs could only handle 1gb, or so I am told.

I sync the calendar and contacts on both devices with my computer, so that I'm not lost if one goes down. It never hurts to have backup.

I have a bunch of accessories for the iPaq 5500 series if anyone is interested. 2 Expansion packs. One is a Navman GPS, and the other an extended battery w/CF slot. Cases, charging docks, batteries, etc. also. I had a 5550 and a 5555. Both took a beating, and and eventually had enough. If anyone can use this stuff, let me know.

Regards,
Roy Peters

>A question about the reliability factor. An issues to speak of? My whole life is anchored by my Dell Axim pda and as I had mentioned, failed me several times and the signs of it completely failing are appearing daily. I went back to the pencil and spiral bound calendar for the last month and I might as well been dragging around a big stone and chisel ( in my mind) as I felt I went back to the stone age. Up until the last 2 months, my Dell has been astonishingly trouble free. But not now.
>When I had sent my unit away for repair, I had no contact information on the road, no customer history, nada! I felt completely lost because I had become so accustomed to having my database at my fingertips 24/7. Scheduling on the fly is a real issue in my world as I'm on the go constantly. Not having the latitude schedule at will made me realize the cutting edge these devices offer in a competitive world.
>So now I'm in that phase of figuring out which way to go. Verizon had a deal which was too good to be real and I wasn't able to act on it at that time. I could have got the Blackberry Storm for $144 and I kick myself for not acting on my impulse at the time. Normally that item is at least 2x that cost. Now I'm back to twiddling my thumbs and waiting for the next great deal to come around.
>Thanks for input about the Blackberry as this the direction I think I want to be pursuing.
