  unless someone else has mentioned this, i think i might have stumbled on a way to access the "missing" archives. 


  for example, let's say you're searching for information about Fujan tuning levers


  - go to google


  - type site:ptg.org followed by a space and then the subject of your search, in this case Fujan tuning levers
     so your search would look like this: site:ptg.org Fujan tuning levers


  - you'll see a list of the search results


  - click on Cached beside the hyperlink for each search result, and it'll show you the text-only version of the post.


  nifty!


  why don't other people try this and let's if it works for everyone. i don't see why it wouldn't. 
  unfortunately you can't move directly between posts. you have to go back one page in your browser to the search results in google to see another post, but it's better than nothing.
