The Catholic cathedral has a 1913 Chickering Grand with "International pitch 435" emblazoned on the plate. It has been tuned at that for many years. I assured them that raising the pitch to 440 would not prove injurious to the piano. The strings appear good, the piano itself is in good shape. I should be ok... Yes??
