Thanks, Mark! Got it done in a timely fashion. Now that I have done what I needed to do, for the sake of completeness of the archives (in case anyone else has a similar question in the future): The legs attach as Mark's pictures show. The lyre is held on by conventional sliding dovetailed plates; the lyre slides forward (toward the player) for removal. The only difference between this and an older Steinway is that the older Steinway uses a cam to keep the lyre plates locked together, while the new ones use a pair of wood screws (traveling through the top of the lyre and into the keybed) to keep the lyre plates locked together.
