[pianotech] regulating backchecks?

I regulate at the piano - I've never been a bench regulator type of guy.

Its funny you mention this problem - I was dealing with this exact same
problem earlier today at a client's home.

When I regulate back checks, I regulate samples starting with the first
natural key in each section and then regulate all the dampers that are a
perfect fifth up from there. Its convenient because its easy to play with
one hand.

Pull the action in and out as much as necessary to get these samples right.
Then you can regulate on your lap all the back checks in between your
samples.
