And when it is all back together and you find the same tone problems and voicing problems the piano had originally--the unevenness, the poor bass/tenor break, the muddy bass, etc.--you'll understand why some of us rescale every piano we rebuild. From there on down to B27 it's a single, double, single pattern that once you steered me in that direction I could see the imprint in the paint on the plate connecting the two hitch pins that were doubles.
