Just to follow up on the pedals, this is the repair that I chose using the channel, flat strip and JB Weld. I was able to use a few drops of the epoxy per pedal and "glue" the joints back together which made final assembly of pedal, channel, strip and JB Weld a simple chore. Also, I learned the pin at the rear of the pedal stem can be removed to allow sliding the repaired pedal in from the front then replaced when the pedal is closer to being in place. It all worked perfectly and left the client in awe. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and ideas.
