List---Here's a brief update on my progress in rehabilitation following the April 26 hit-and-run motorcycle accident. I have been in rehab now for several weeks. I can now transfer from bed to wheelchair, wheelchair to car, etc. Although I have not yet regained use of my broken right arm, my occupational therapist has taught me to dress myself and take care of personal needs such as brushing teeth, showering and shaving. Most likely I will be here until near the end of June, when I will transfer to a VA rehab unit in Roseburg. It is there that I will be fitted with my prothesis and will begin learning to walk again.
