Julia,

I don't know, because I have never done it that way. I fill the hole with epoxy mixed with filler or sanding dust, then re-drill.

  Greetings,

If in a hammer replacement job, one hammer,s bore angle is unintentionally bored at the wrong angle, and so to remedy it you make the hole alittle larger to get the correct angle and its filled in with glue, (or glue and sawdust mix) will that hammer sound different than its neighbors who have the better fit and proper glue? Curious.

  Thanks,
  Julia
