Geometry reflecting physical reality says the high point will be in the center of a constant radius crown, and geometric reality isn't easily changed by wishful thinking. A parabolic, catenary, or asymmetric double radius crown can put the high point off center to wherever the bridge ends up, but there doesn't seem to be any comparative evidence that it's beneficial to do so.
