In keeping the strings solidly coupled to the bridge, yes.  Transmission of
vibrations is, IMO, not relevant.

Do you mean that epoxy has the same capabilities as wood?
By this I would know if epoxy will do the same transmissions of the  
vibrations to the soundboard?
I always wondered how drasticaly epoxy could change the vibrations of  
the board.
