NetBooks originally came with Linux. In order for MS to compete, they decided to come out with a "entry level" Windows 7 (VISTA's follow-on). Which sounded good from the start HOWEVER in order to make it work, MS crippled the OS enough to allow - ONLY - 3 - programs to run at the same time. ------------- This may be a little late for some of you - but - If you have a laptop with VISTA on it - you may be locked into VISTA ONLY. One of my son's friends has a VISTA laptop and the hard drive crashed (from viruses). From all the horror stories, he really wanted to go back to XP. So my son tried to load XP - could not get it to even start to load. They called to manufacturer (HP ? ) and found out, OH!, that model laptop was designed for VISTA and VISTA ONLY. -- Duaine Hechler Piano, Player Piano, Pump Organ Tuning, Servicing & Rebuilding Reed Organ Society Member Florissant, MO 63034 (314) 838-5587 dahechler at att.net www.hechlerpianoandorgan.com -- Home & Business user of Linux - 10 years
