Nah. I size the pilot hole so the threads aren't full depth, 
sort of splitting the difference between too tight to drive, 
and too loose to stay put. Like any screw pilot hole. The 
original trays are, I think Poplar, so the pilot in these 
would be smaller than in the new Renner tray. By the need, 
rather than by the numbers
