Outlook certainly has email but also includes fairly powerful contact 
management with many info fields and notes as well as a calender 
including flags and reminders, meeting invites etc.

Personally, I use Mozilla Thunderbird with the Lightning add-on to cover 
all the same bases and it's FREE (PC/Mac/Linux) and the calender and 
contacts synchronize with my PocketPC with a utility called BirdieSync
