Good advice David ?By the way Julia, I recently hammered a stwy console, I think a model F with Ronsen Hammers using the German VFG felt. The tone was so close to the target. A light juicing in the bass & I was done. IMO It is? vitally important to select a hammer that requires little voicing, especially in uprights. There is usually less money in it & needling uprights very much?is... IMO not much fun. ? But then again I have absolutely no bias's what so ever> Lol ? Dale Hi Julia,? ? If you have the luxury, try some samples of different kinds of hammers and see what sounds best....? ? This is a great approach for any piano!? ?
