Hi Julia It was not the key rest felt that was 2 mm. The 2 mm strips were added to the key end felt.... the cushion that lifts the damper levers. The key rest felt was 4 mm roughly. The angled capstan idea was dropped years ago but was common enough around the turn of the century... 1900's. I'm really not sure what they were thinking about when they did that, but even S&S had them for a while. Cheers RicB Greetings, I dont see why a mfgr would want the capstans on an angle.
