[pianotech] got an extra $10 M laying around?

All I can is Wow!  

 

I don't recall the brand anymore but, about 30 years ago, when I was working
for Jerry Peterson, he took in a piano for rebuilding.  He had his shop full
of them anyway but, this one was very special.  There wasn't a place on the
thing that didn't have some kind of very beautiful ornate carving work on
it.  At that time, he had it insured for over $100,000, probably to low but,
he was a cheap skate too.  What a pretty piano that was.  Haven't seen it
since then.  Don't know where it wound up either..

Check out this Broadwood advertised on E-Bay. 

If you just don't have that this week, a little further down there is a 1880
9' Beckstein at a reasonable $165,000.
