Now that you mention it, maybe they aren't phillips but some other similar screw?   A real pain.   You must have numerous sizes of big phillip screwdrivers.   You need the exact right tip or it will *%#O up in no time.  You put a lot of weight/force against the screw as you "hopefully" turn it out.   Protek thick lube when it goes back it.    I'm sure in the factory they had the perfect tip and air powered tools...ZIPPPPPP it in and forget about it...
