Now that we've settled on leather and glue-of-choice, a friend (and fellow new tech) has suggested a modification of a technique he uses in manufacturing a product which is built primarily with pressboard... he dips his wood screws in plastic wood putty from the local Ace. For a repair, he suggests just using a little more goo. I don't recall any mention of this stuff in any of the several threads on this topic. The one drawback that comes to mind is that it takes a while to dry, like longer than a tuning. Comments?
