Agreed. I'm writing a check tonight. I like the tuning a month
for...........whatever it takes approach. I didn't see that this
information made it to the pianotech list, but from Ed Sutton on CAUT:

Subject: [CAUT] John Granholm - Friday evening update

 Dear Friends-

John had his third surgery yesterday, and currently the doctors feel they're
finished with surgery.
There is extensive muscle damage, and no predictions yet about healing in
his arm.
He's still in ICU, no predictions yet about when he'll go to a private room.
He'll be up to two weeks in the hospital, then to longer nursing care for
healing.
His family will bring his laptop as soon as possible, so we may hear from
him before too long.

They recommend sending checks to his home address:

John Granholm
1244 SE Germond Avenue
Roseburg OR 97470

His brother collects the mail daily, and is handling John's business
affairs.

We still don't have a room address in the hospital for cards, and they
continue to ask not to send cards to ICU.

They are very moved by the outpouring of concern and love from his
colleagues, and will communicate it to him.
