John had a good day today. He sat up on the edge of the bed, moved his arms, sipped juice and ate solid food for the first time. The cards that were sent to him were delivered today, opened for him, and he was able to read them himself, and enjoyed them greatly. His mood is good, and his sense of humor is working, even as he begins to assess his injuries.
