I would love to find one of the models that folds in the middle too; mine
is from Schaff about 10 years ago, and it's about 4' long when it's
folded. Not real easy to throw in the trunk. Does anybody know who sells
one of the middle-folding ones?

i bought mine off another technician. paid around 450 for it. it's the kind that folds to about 4x3 or whatever. couldn't live without it.

i had a scary moment last time i used it. i was tilting a piano back to upright position and the thing hopped on its feet quicker than i expected. afterward i kept picturing in my mind the piano falling all the way forward. as david betts always said, if that ever happens, nothing to do but stand back and cheer.

i'm gonna go buy a strap.
