Explaining further.  During a pitch raise, I mute strip.  Tune the middle
string, pull out the strip, then tune the bottom string of the privious
unison, tune the top string of the next unison, tune the middle string of
the next, repeating the previous procedure.  The less movements of hands and
mutes the quicker the pitch raise.  I often use mutes during a find tuning
but not always.  I may do the same procedure above during a fine tuning.
Either way, I do tune the unisons as I go.

I haven't used a strip mute in 10 years...as a ETD user you know what small
tension changes does to stability.   Those tuned middle strings have changed
by the time you come back...
