[pianotech] Whitening yellowed ivories

Sand key tops with a very fine sand paper ....put on a board with a
retaining strip of wood (so they won't fall off)....Put out in the
sun....buy the strongest peroxide from your drug store (here in Australia I
order 120 volume) ...(it will have to be ordered in)...make up a stick with
rag wrapped around it and make it look like a paint brush....why...because
the peroxide will disintegrate the rag or paint brush in a couple of
days.....Paint the peroxide on (in the sun) about every 1-2 hours....it will
take 1-3 days in the sun with the peroxide to get the colour you
want.....when happy with colour....wipe the peroxide off with a damp
cloth.....then polish with a good buff and cutting compound.  

Warning....if you get this stuff on your fingers they will go WHITE....but
goes away in a couple of hours.  Just putting them out in the sun without
peroxide will take FOREVER!!!!
