Burger & Jacobi used to be a quite good maker of fine pianos. This website states, that they sold the company to a dealer in 1985 and moved their facilities in 1988 from Biel to Büren an der Aare and quit production in 1991.

But another website states, that the production from 1985 on was Czech production, but often the pianos were still misleadingly sold as Swiss Made.

So your piano seems indeed to be made by Petrof.

Hi all ran into this piano yesterday. Says: "Hand Made Especially for" and
the serial number 52 089 is beyond the 1988 listing in "Pierce" and if you
look and the label you can see where there was one torn off and the one noted
"pasted" over what was there. The serial number is the same way.

The piano has agraffes from A-0 to C-8.

Who manufactured the piano. The customer purchased the piano in Italy in
the 90's.
