Now you all have lost me. When I was talking about a pure octave, I was
talking about "testing" an actual octave. The other things you are
talking about are aural tuner "checks" that I have never learned to do
and find *extremely* confusing.

Example: how can checking C3 and C4 to be "pure" and "stretched" at the
same time.
