Joseph, how did you shape it? Point, cross cut?

David, Paul, I couldn't find a photo of the Renner. How is that one shaped?

I want to make my own. I'll probably never use it again. 69 yo and pushing retirement. Maybe<G>

I used to use an old set of under the key easing pliers and inset two set screws into the 'jaws' of the pliers facing each other for this troublesome issue. Worked great, as the mechanical advantage of the pliers allowed nice control over the squeeze I applied.

Renner has a set of pliers, I think, and Don Bee, Jr. here in Chicago designed a plier for exactly this purpose several years ago.

    Hi All,

I've got a Yamaha G1 with loose under lever leads. I'd like to make up some kind of pliers that I can use to expand the under lever lead to stay in place. Any thoughts would be very helpful.

    Thanks,
