I've used the collodion in the past, but I kept falling asleep at the piano,
don't know why....

Andre's book has a recipe for hammer hardner with alcohol instead of acetone
or MEK or Lacquer thinner.   90% alcohol "ketonatus", 4% collodionand, 6%
ether...It would be interesting to discuss the book with those who have read
it...?
