If the phone is using a GPS signal (as it should be), that wouldn't happen, unless it has a faulty program.

The negative side of a cell phone is lost cell phone towers and service. My son was using his to drive to Wisconsin this past Friday. He uses Verizon. Every 10 minutes, it shut off on him because he was running through an area with no service. He also had a regular Garmin GPS as a back up with him. He punched the address into that and found it that way.

By the way, if any of you have a Blackberry, you can load the Google Maps app on it. Very nice to have!

Hi James, I usually take a look using Google Maps at the address (on my home PC).

But I use my Garmin GPS to drive there. Also, I find the Garmin GPS is more accurate on the arrival time estimate vs the Google Map.

Howe many of you have given up use of street guides and went to GPS?
