I know a guy who, when restringing a piano, will do one over again if the becket doesn't point at 1:30 or 2:00. Functionally it doesn't matter. I'd rather have a becket point at 6:00 than have the new tuning pin in the new block worked back and forth in the re-do. We all have our compulsions, that's just not one of mine. dp David M.
