[pianotech] pianotech Digest, Vol 11, Issue 228

Paul,

How about selling all of your "to be-rebuilds?"

You could give them a good coat of Krylon or Rust-Oleum and sell them as "new".

I recall countless of cllients throught the years who had asked me to go check out classified ads that advertized "perfect" pianos for sale. You know, the types that never were used by anyone in the family. Only dusted on the fifth Sunday of every other year. Appraised at tens of thousands of dollar value and being sold for Three hundred dollars including shipping. The client wanted to make sure it was a real bargain before they committed. Of course I was to provide the appraisal for no charge. Those may be just the type of pianos this peson is looking to buy.

Or perhaps that might be unethical? tee hee hee.

No, of course I didn't believe it but, I did get a chuckle out of Pauls' response to it. It's all a hoax. I'm just warning those in here that it still exists and those that may never have heard of it before to avoid it is my reason for posting it is all.

Paul,

I really hope you are being sarcastic about this. I got one of these
emails a few years back when I first started in the business. This is
one of the biggest scams that involves pianos.

Gerald,

Again, I hope you didn't take this email seriously.
