Installing the half-rounds pulled whatever pitted wire away from the agraffe and it tunes smoothly. Another factor is that it reduced the drag of all the wire contacting the counter bearing felt. There is still some wire contacting the felt, enough to mute the segment. It seems this is a viable work-around for these untunable, ratcheting notes. I was able to install most of them with the off set screw driver but the lowest six unison needed to have most of the tension dropped in order to get the insert under the wire in the tight space between the pin and felt. -- Regards, Jon Page
