"Does anyone out there using pin driving fluid use a full varnish product rather than a straight phenolic resin? " Jim - I have had good results using McCloskey's 'Man o' War' Marine Spar Varnish. Have used it for the last 15 or so restring jobs (~8-10 yrs) with no problems.
