I tuned a Yamaha C2 a couple of weeks ago that had the slow drop fallboard. Maybe Yamaha might have one they'd sell?

I think what Don was trying to say that the mechanism isn't as much of the problem as is the woodworking required to install them. At the factory they use a computerized machine to cut out the fall board and the rim. In other words, Yamaha's mechanism might have the same problem.

Hi Al,

I see Don M. says they don't sell them outside of Kawai.

I need a slow drop fallboard hinge for a Young Chang. Is this something you can only get directly from them?

If so, does anyone have the number for their parts dept?

Thanks,
