Can easily picture a crate, but I gotta ask - how in the world did you "completely seal" it against moisture?

    Alan,
What city in Alaska are you referring to? We just shipped a grand piano from here (Seattle) to Haines Alaska via the weekly Alaskan Marine Lines barge -- takes about 3 to 5 days to most Alaskan points. The piano had to be crated and completely sealed to prevent moisture damage. Air freight is the safest mode but most Alaska towns don't have air freight terminals.

      List,

Any recommendations for transporting a seven foot grand from L. A. to the "Gateway to the Arctic"? Winterizing advice also welcome. :-)

      Thanks,
