David writes: If you don’t have it already check out the damper regulating platform that Bill Spurlock sells I see that one, and I have a couple I made over the years. One of brass! Yet, I cannot do a better job of regulating the dampers than what I get when I use the tray itself to set the height of the underlevers. Takes no tools,and compensates for that micro wear from note to note.
