OK, I can see that. Just parroting...... It's a lot less painful to be oblivious. ;-] Also, the CF and spruce veneer are glued together with a resin (basically an epoxy) and it does have a standard ribbing pattern. When I asked about the need for ribbing in a system with no downbearing, the answer I received was that it maintained a "traditional look" underneat (along with the spruce veneer) and that it allowed them to continue to use the ribs as a point of attachment between the board and the rim. From the perspective of supporting the board, however, they are not designed with that in mind. William R.
