DISSAPOINTINGLY pleasing, Dale? Does that mean you are sorry you liked it? J

Sound? Well, it sounds like a piano. ;-] I didn't find that I could attribute any specific sound quality to the board itself. Too many other variables, among other things, but the piano sounded very nice. Full, round tone, not a lot of high partial noise. Though, it was a little bit of a challenge to listen in the exhibit hall. ;-]

I certainly couldn't find any reason not to like it out of hand, though.

I haven’t heard the Carbon fiber board, just the old wood ones. How is the sound different? I would love to hear your observations.

It certainly has a unique sound. It was pleasing, maybe even disappointingly so but still something different to me than wood. If it had a veneer on the top, I humbly admit I'm not sure I could tell much difference. But Viva la spruce anyway
And like carbon parts, its Black. Don't care for that in a piano. Its a light sink. I Know....Picky,picky
