[pianotech] Was Steinway bashing... Best of the best??

Will, 

The best way I can describe that piano is that there is something about some pianos that, because of the sound and feel make you play better than your ability. The Steingraeber CF is one of them.

  I haven’t heard the Carbon fiber board, just the old wood ones.  How is the sound different?  I would love to hear your observations.

  Yes Will, I must agree. That piano blew me away in Vegas. The carbon soundboard was outstanding.

    If I might turn the focus around, what have been the very best of the pianos you've heard?
     
    >From the last post, the best of the group seems to be Kawai (which I don't necessarily disagree with).
     
    I'd be interested in what others might think of as the "best of the best"...  before or after tweaking.
