[pianotech] Tuning a temperament without counting beats

I think Duaine can't hear beats at all, or more accurately he doesn't
believe he can, and doesn't trust his own ears.
So "comparing the speed of beats" doesn't work for him.
At least that's how I interpret his occasional messages on this topic.
