Randy and Joe! This "Tingee' is called 'Broken Screw Extractor'.It is a hollow cutter with Very Sharp Teeth. Pianotek sells it,page D-30,part #BSE-1, 1/4" dia. it is also available from Woodworkes Supply Catalog. In my class in Las vegas I gave a demonstration on how simple it is to use it. Larger dia 3/8" Screw Extractor #BSE-2 is capable of drilling counter- clockwise in Pinblock material to extract broken Tuning Pin or large #12-#18 screws. Plugging the hole and re-drilling is a standard procedure. It worth trying. And don't forget to practice on a piece of board. good luck! Isaac Sadigursky, RPT. Los Angeles Chapter.
