Not just tuning pins. I've also found the threadless capstan mentioned, screws without slots, and other wonderful things. 
This one, I thought was particularly cute.

I used to have a box of these anomalies somewhere, but I fear the poor endangered soul who goes through the stuff for the estate sale will be the one who sees it next.
