Excellent customer satisfaction is the icing on the cake. It's no accident that Yamaha is quickly establishing themselves as a serious piano manufacturer. I wish a well-known American manufacturer would take note.

Contact Yamaha, they had been (and probably still are) replacing "dirty" Ivorite with the "new improved" version (Ivorite II?), even when it was well past their warranty period. Such an excellent customer satisfaction policy!

I have a church with a 20 year old Yamaha G3 that the keytops are generally turning dark with age. The keys are synthetic material and I've heard rumors of a material Yamaha tried that was supposed to feel the closest to ivory but it's porosity retained the micro particles from the sharps or other sources and became dark and were difficult to keep clean.

I'd like to have a clear story to tell on this subject since I'm considering replacing the keytops with Vagias keytops (my usual).

Did the sharp keycaps cause the problem and if so will they cause a similar problem with the new keytops?
