If you guys are snarking about an out of tune piano, listen carefully to the recording of Oscar Peterson playing his Bosendorfer on his album "Great Connections" particularly the cut "Smile."
I hear certain notes going grossly out of tune just under the immensity of his touch, but shortly therafter, it goes back in tune on a softer volume. Is this typical of Bosie's?

Marshall,

I really think the recording in the song The Green Door was for the piano to be out of tune. by the way, that was the first song I remember from the top 40.

Hi Everyone,
Check out these piano recordings. I'm not sure if the links show up or not, but you can copy and paste them. ALBERT AMMONS - Chicago In Mind I think you can click on this title and it should come up. This is where my lack of computer knowlege comes in. Check out the piano in this song. Where were the piano tuners in Chicago back then? :-)

Here's another song from 1956 recorded by Jim Lowe called Green Door. I'm not sure if the piano was out of tune or they did this for the affect. Jim Lowe - The Green Door

I hope the links work.
